My parent is 83 and not tech-savvy at all. Can they really use this?
Yes — and this is exactly who we built Heirloom for. Your parent doesn't need to do anything except answer their regular phone or WhatsApp. We call them (or you call them with us on the line), we ask the questions, they talk. That's it. No apps. No passwords. No setup on their end.
What language does my parent need to speak?
They can speak in any language they're comfortable in. We fully support Korean, Spanish, Mandarin, Portuguese, and more. All recordings are transcribed and translated by AI with human review. The final memoir and AI persona can be bilingual — so your son hears both the Korean and English versions of his grandfather's stories.
How does the living archive work?
The archive is built from their actual recordings, stories, and values. It is grounded in what they actually said. It won't invent opinions or positions they never expressed. Family can return to those stories through the year — and keep adding more voices. The recordings and transcripts are yours.
What if they pass away before we finish capturing?
Whatever is captured is preserved, no matter how much or how little. Even a single 30-minute conversation is enough to begin. We can work with what exists — phone voicemails, WhatsApp messages, videos, old letters — to build the richest possible legacy from what remains. Start today with whatever you have.
How long will my family have access to the vault?
Family is $149/year for the living archive. We also provide full data exports (audio files, transcripts) so your family is never dependent solely on us. The recordings and transcripts are yours.
